Publicis Can't Escape Sex Bias Suit Against PR Unit

Law360, New York (December 4, 2012, 1:51 PM EST) -- Multinational advertising firm Publicis Groupe SA on Monday lost a bid to escape a class action claiming one of its subsidiaries paid female public relations employees less than their male counterparts.

U.S. District Judge Andrew L. Carter Jr. denied Publicis' motion for summary judgment, rejecting the French company's claim that his Southern District of New York court lacked jurisdiction to hear claims against it.
