Ex-Rangers Owner Drops Brit Suit Over $476M Liverpool Sale

Law360, Dallas (January 11, 2013, 7:23 PM EST) -- Former Texas Rangers and Dallas Stars owner Tom Hicks has settled claims challenging the $476 million sale of English soccer team Liverpool Football Club and Athletic Grounds Ltd., which he formerly owned, the team announced Friday.

Terms of the agreement are confidential, but Liverpool said in a statement that Hicks and co-owner George Gillett Jr. agreed to drop all claims and allegations against three company directors: Sir Martin Broughton, Christian Purslow and Ian Ayre.
