DOJ Enters Showdown Over NJ Sports-Betting Law

Law360, New York (January 22, 2013, 5:32 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has stepped into a case in New Jersey federal court where it will join professional and collegiate sports leagues in attempting to stop state lawmakers from legalizing sports betting, according to court papers filed Tuesday.
