Miami's $512M Airport Project Could Hit Turbulence

Law360, Miami (February 13, 2013, 10:10 PM EST) -- Officials unveiled a 33-acre hotel and business complex for Miami International Airport on Wednesday at Miami-Dade County's annual State of the Ports briefing, but the highly anticipated project, estimated at $512 million, may face some bumps before landing approval.

Airport City at MIA would provide a $1.63 billion annual economic impact when its Class-A office spaces, two hotels and retail plaza connected to the airport are completed, according to the developer Odebrecht USA and a study by The Washington Economics Group.
