Okada Can't Block Shareholder Vote On Wynn Board Ouster

Law360, New York (February 19, 2013, 3:03 PM EST) -- A Nevada federal judge on Friday denied a bid by former Wynn Macau Ltd. director Kazuo Okada to block a shareholder vote to drop him from Wynn Resorts Ltd.'s board of directors over potential Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations.

U.S. District Judge James C. Mahan denied Okada's request for a preliminary injunction to halt the Feb. 22 vote.

Wynn Resorts had called for the shareholder meeting in a U.S. Securities and Exchange filing in January that contained biased and false information, according to Okada's January preliminary...
