Ex-Giants Player Charged With $1.5M Insurance Fraud

Law360, New York (April 15, 2013, 5:06 PM EDT) -- A federal grand jury in California has charged a former New York Giants football player with a $1.5 million fraud scheme targeting a claims handler for Pennsylvania Manufacturers' Association Insurance Group, prosecutors said Friday.

Marcus Buckley, who played for the Giants between 1993 and 2000, is accused of filing bogus workers' compensation claims with Gallagher Bassett Services Inc., a company that managed claims for Pennsylvania Manufacturers' Association.
