LulzSec Hacker Gets 1 Year For Sony Breach

Law360, New York (April 18, 2013, 7:37 PM EDT) -- A member of the Anonymous-related LulzSec hacking group was sentenced Thursday to a year and a day in federal prison for his role in an extensive computer attack that compromised the computer systems of Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc., federal prosecutors said.

Cody Andrew Kretsinger, 25, who used the online moniker “recursion,” also was ordered to serve one year of home detention following the completion of his prison sentence, to perform 1,000 hours of community service, and to pay $605,663 in restitution, according to a statement from...
