2nd Circ. Reopens NFL Workers' Comp Dispute

Law360, New York (April 22, 2013, 6:43 PM EDT) -- The Second Circuit on Friday allowed injured NFL players to file a new suit to determine whether state law can trump their contracts with their clubs in a dispute over the amount of state workers' compensation the clubs can collect after paying the injured players' salaries.

The three-judge panel's ruling vacated a January 2012 finding by a New York federal court that said clubs couldn't turn to state law when it was more favorable to them than that court's interpretation of their contracts with their players....
