Aereokiller Service Ban Should Be Expanded, 9th Circ. Told

Law360, New York (April 30, 2013, 1:50 PM EDT) -- A court order halting billionaire Alki David's Aereokiller service from streaming over-the-air shows online in the western U.S. should be expanded nationally to prevent infringement of television networks' copyrighted broadcasts, networks told the Ninth Circuit on Friday.

NBCUniversal Media LLC, ABC Inc., CBS Broadcasting Inc., Fox Broadcasting Co. and other networks responded to Aereokiller's appeal seeking to overturn a preliminary injunction issued in December by U.S. District Judge George H. Wu that stopped the Internet service, arguing the order didn't go far enough.
