Activision Says Gamers Suffered No Harm From Data Breach

Law360, New York (April 30, 2013, 2:46 PM EDT) -- Activision Blizzard Inc. on Monday told a California federal judge that a multimillion-dollar putative class action must be dismissed because the plaintiffs cannot demonstrate that personal information allegedly revealed in a recent breach has caused them any legitimate harm.

Activision subsidiary Blizzard Entertainment Inc. argues that the case must be dismissed because the plaintiffs have not alleged that any of the personal information purportedly stolen in a massive August data breach of its website was improperly used.
