Feds' FCPA Probe Of Okada Puts Halt On Wynn's Suit

Law360, New York (May 3, 2013, 7:33 PM EDT) -- Wynn Resorts Ltd. on Friday said its Nevada lawsuit against former Wynn Macau Ltd. director Kazuo Okada over purported bribes to Philippine officials has been put on hold while federal prosecutors investigate Okada for possible violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

In response to a motion by the U.S. Department of Justice, Judge Elizabeth Gonzalez granted prosecutors' request to stay discovery in the Clark County case for six months, according to Wynn's attorney Bradley Wilson of Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz.
