NSA Leaker Edward Snowden Charged With Espionage

Law360, New York (June 21, 2013, 9:39 PM EDT) -- National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden faces criminal charges including espionage, according to a Virginia federal court complaint unsealed Friday by the U.S. government.

Snowden faces three charges over crimes he allegedly committed in May, according to the unsealed complaint, a copy of which was posted online by the New York Times. He has already admitted leaking details of the NSA's secret surveillance of phone records and Internet activities by providing classified documents to the Guardian and the Washington Post.
