DC United, City Sign Deal To Build $300M Stadium

Law360, New York (July 25, 2013, 4:10 PM EDT) -- Washington, D.C., Mayor Vincent Gray and Major League Soccer franchise D.C. United have signed a term sheet for a public-private partnership to develop a $300 million stadium in the city's Buzzard Point neighborhood, the team announced Thursday.

The city and D.C. United signed the term sheet for a 50-50 partnership on funding the stadium construction, the soccer franchise said. The district will serve as a horizontal developer, buying the land and supplying infrastructure for the project, for a total cost to the city of roughly $150...
