Ex-NBA Player Drops Disability Suit Against Knicks

Law360, New York (August 9, 2013, 5:53 PM EDT) -- Cuttino Mobley, a former player with the NBA’s New York Knicks, on Friday dropped a suit claiming that the team used a heart condition as a pretext to force him into early retirement so it could solve a salary cap problem.

U.S. District Judge Colleen McMahon signed off on a stipulation between the two sides dropping the suit. The order did not indicate whether the Knicks paid any money to settle the action.
