Fla. County Puts In $2M For Orlando Soccer Stadium

Law360, Miami (September 11, 2013, 6:41 PM EDT) -- Seminole County, Fla., on Tuesday agreed to put up $2 million toward the Orlando City Soccer Club's proposed downtown stadium and its bid to join Major League Soccer in the hopes that the investment will reap an economic benefit of $31 million.

The Seminole County Board of Commissioners agreed to pay $200,000 each year for a decade beginning in 2015 to help fund the stadium, which is estimated to have an economic impact of $31 million over the course of 10 years on the county, according...
