Major League Baseball Bunts A-Rod Lawsuit To Federal Court

Law360, New York (October 7, 2013, 7:00 PM EDT) -- Major League Baseball on Monday said New York federal court should handle a lawsuit from Yankees’ player Alex Rodriguez, removing the case — in which Rodriguez claims the league is persecuting him — from state court.

Rodriguez's case will depend on analysis of the league's collective bargaining agreement, drug agreement and standard player's agreement, lawyers for MLB and commissioner Bud Selig said in a removal notice.
