Hard Rock Hotel Developer Gets Fraud Suit Pared Down

Law360, New York (October 17, 2013, 7:03 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Wednesday trimmed claims from a class action against the developer and broker of a Hard Rock hotel and condominium complex over alleged misrepresentations in the sale of units to investors.

U.S. District Judge Gonzalo P. Curiel granted the defendants' motions for summary judgment on claims that accused developer Tarsadia Hotels and broker Playground Destination Properties Inc. of fraud, unfair competition and violating the Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act by misrepresenting sales and not disclosing the buyers' rights to rescind contracts...
