Deals Rumor Mill: KKR, America Movil, Mergermarket

LP and Blackstone Group LP are likely to go after the oil and gas unit of German utility RWE AG, valued at up to $6.8 billion, according to a Friday report from Reuters. Other bidders could include Wintershall, the oil and gas division of German chemical company BASF SE. RWE has struggled to overcome a massive debt pile and in March said it would sell its exploration and production business to pay down debt and trim future costs. The subsidiary up for sale accounted for 11 percent of RWE's operating profit last year....
