Law360, New York (October 31, 2013, 4:26 PM EDT) -- IBM Corp. on Tuesday backed out of a fight with Amazon.com Inc. in the Internet retailer's suit alleging the U.S. Government Accountability Office wrongfully sustained rival IBM's protest of a $600 million cloud computing contract with the CIA, bowing to pressure from the United States.
Judge Thomas C. Wheeler of U.S. Court of Federal claims granted IBM’s motion to withdraw its motion to stay the case, which had been decided on Oct. 7 in Amazon's favor. Both motions are still under seal.
