UK Soccer League Ends Suit Against Google's YouTube

Law360, New York (November 13, 2013, 3:58 PM EST) -- The Football Association Premier League Ltd. — the UK's top governing body for soccer — and others agreed last week to drop their long-running copyright infringement lawsuit against Google Inc.'s YouTube.

The stipulated dismissal, filed Nov. 7, came six months after U.S. District Judge Louis Stanton refused to certify the Premiere League's case against Google as a class action that could have involved thousands of copyright holders around the world.
