Multistate Online Gambling Pacts Come With Legal Risks

Law360, New York (January 22, 2014, 9:06 PM EST) -- As more state legislatures contemplate online gambling on the heels of New Jersey’s recent launch, experts predict lawmakers will also begin negotiating compacts to share players and revenue across state lines. But any such deal will require careful crafting to avoid running afoul of federal tax and gambling laws, attorneys say.
