Livery Cos. Sue NJ Over 'Bridgegate' Closures

Law360, New York (January 14, 2014, 7:21 PM EST) -- Six New Jersey car companies are among the latest victims of last years' closure of access lanes to the George Washington Bridge to launch a putative class action against the state and officials connected to Gov. Chris Christie, claiming the debacle cost them business.

The unannounced closure of the lanes in Fort Lee, N.J., to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey-controlled bridge was reckless and represents official misconduct, according to Monday's complaint in Bergen County Superior Court.
