Northwest Battles Fuel Surcharge Class Actions

Law360 (March 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Northwest Airlines Corp. has filed two more adversary complaints in a New York bankruptcy court to prevent purported class action plaintiffs from pursuing price-fixing claims regarding fuel surcharges.

Northwest filed the complaints on Friday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, claiming that the suits would interfere with the airline's reorganization in violation of terms of the court-approved plan.
