Raiders Cheerleaders Accuse Team Of Wage Theft, Unfair Pay

Law360, Los Angeles (January 23, 2014, 4:22 PM EST) -- Current and former members of the Oakland Raiders' cheering squad hit the NFL club with a putative class action in California state court Wednesday, accusing the Raiders of wage theft and other unfair employment practices against the “Raiderettes.”

The suit, brought by lead plaintiff and Raiderette Lacy T., raises allegations that the Raiders withholds all pay from the Raiderettes until after the end of the season, does not pay for all hours worked and forces the cheerleaders to pay many of their own business expenses....
