NM Senate Squashes Navajo Deal For 5 Casinos

Law360, New York (February 20, 2014, 5:17 PM EST) -- The New Mexico Senate on Wednesday refused to pass a tribal compact that would allow the Navajo Nation to build and operate as many as five casinos, after concerns were raised over the development rights and provisions keeping personal liability claims under tribal jurisdiction.
