Cordish, Penn National Team Up For $750M NY Casino Bid

By Natalie Rodriguez (April 16, 2014, 1:43 PM EDT) -- The Cordish Cos. and Penn National Gaming Inc. are the latest to join the ever-crowded New York casino race, putting out a $750 million proposal on Wednesday for a gambling resort in the Hudson Valley and Catskills region.

Per an agreement, which is still being finalized by the companies, the joint venture would build and manage a casino resort in Orange County that would be flagged under Cordish's Live brand. The joint venture, which is split equally between the two companies, is focusing on a 120-acre parcel of undeveloped land in South Blooming Grove, it said.
