Gawker, Dr. Phil End Suit Over Manti Te'o Hoaxer Interview

Law360, New York (May 6, 2014, 1:04 PM EDT) -- A Texas federal judge on Monday agreed to dismiss a dispute between Gawker Media LLC and the production company behind the "Dr. Phil" television show which claimed the blog network had infringed the show's copyrights by using of clips of an interview with the man who pretended to be football player Manti Te'o's girlfriend.

U.S. District Judge Michael H. Schneider approved a joint stipulation of dismissal between Peteski Productions Inc. and Gawker roughly a week after the parties moved to end the suit, having resolved the conflict to their "mutual satisfaction" in late February, according to court documents.
