7th Circ. Wants DOJ's Take On Foreign LCD Antitrust Briefs

Law360, New York (June 2, 2014, 9:06 PM EDT) -- The Seventh Circuit on Monday asked the U.S. Solicitor General to reply to filings from Taiwan and South Korea urging the appeals court to not reconsider a ruling blocking Motorola Mobility LLC from pursuing $3.5 billion in antitrust claims against liquid crystal display makers.

The three-judge panel that originally heard the case, which included U.S. Circuit Judge Richard A. Posner, asked U.S. Solicitor General Donald Verrilli to offer some sort of response to amicus briefs filed by Taiwan's trade ministry and South Korea's antitrust enforcer urging...
