Spitzer Demands Transcript Of Grasso Deposition

Law360 (March 16, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Facing an $18 million civil lawsuit, former New York Stock Exchange chairman Richard Grasso allegedly invoked his Fifth Amendment right during a deposition last year, but now the office of New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer is demanding further details.

On Thursday, Avi Schick, a lawyer for Spitzer’s office, informed the state court of his belief that Richard Grasso exercised his constitutional right not to incriminate himself at a June 2005 deposition conducted by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
