AT&T Settles Class Claims Over Mobile Content

Law360, New York (June 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- AT&T Inc. has settled class action claims that accused the telecommunication giant's mobile phone unit of allowing third-party content providers to place unauthorized charges on customers for third-party content such as ringtones, games and new alerts.

The Superior Court of Fulton County in Georgia on Friday preliminarily approved a settlement Friday under which AT&T Mobility LLC customers will receive refunds for unauthorized charges made between January 2004 and May 30, 2008.
