GM Ignition Switch Vehicles, Claims Set For Bellwether Trial

Law360, Washington (February 6, 2015, 5:10 PM EST) -- A New York federal judge is siding with the plaintiffs in the GM ignition switch litigation when it comes to the bellwether trial plan, ordering that the trial include the three categories of wrongful death, several personal injury and mild-to-moderate personal claims from six vehicle models

U.S. District Judge Jesse M. Furman is allowing the claims involving production part vehicles with airbag nondeployment for the Chevrolet Cobalt, model years 2005-07; the Pontiac G5, model year 2007; the Saturn Ion, model years 2003-07; the Pontiac Solstice, model years 2006-07; the Chevrolet HHR, model years 2006-07; and the Saturn Sky, model year 2007....
