Revel Wins Nod For $82M Casino Sale To Straub

Law360, Wilmington (April 2, 2015, 10:48 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey bankruptcy judge blessed the $82 million sale of Revel AC Inc. to real estate tycoon Glenn Straub on Thursday, spurning requests to delay a ruling so other parties could formulate offers for the shuttered Atlantic City casino.

At a hearing in Camden, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Gloria M. Burns approved the sale to Straub's Polo North Country Club Inc. despite calls from the official committee of unsecured creditors, among others, that she wait until at least Monday, saying “time was of the essence.”
