AT&T, Stragent Agree To Drop Patent Dispute

Law360, New York (August 21, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- AT&T Inc. and patent-holding company Stragent LLC have moved to drop the carrier from a suit alleging infringement of a patent for messaging systems against a number of cell phone and technology companies after agreeing that AT&T does not make the product at issue.

The telecommunications giant filed the motion to dismiss without prejudice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas Wednesday.
