Alice Frees DirecTV, Sports Leagues From Media Patent Suit

Law360, New York (July 8, 2015, 3:57 PM EDT) -- A Texas federal judge on Tuesday dismissed a suit brought by patent holder Affinity Labs of Texas LLC against DirecTV LLC and the media arms of Major League Baseball and two other big sports leagues, finding the media streaming patent at issue invalid under the U.S. Supreme Court's Alice ruling.
