Fired Contractor Cries Conspiracy Over NY Canal Project

By Jessica Corso (July 10, 2015, 4:34 PM EDT) -- The owner of a construction company long at odds with New York state over the choice to drop her from a contract for the third phase of a harbor project in Buffalo filed another suit in federal court Thursday, this time alleging a conspiracy that drew in Travelers Casualty and Surety Co., Phillips Lytle LLP and others.

Rosanne DiPizio of DiPizio Construction Co. Inc. accuses several participants in the Erie Canal Inner Harbor Project of unjustly blaming her for construction delays and then dropping her from the contract in order to employ government-connected company Pike Construction.
