Telecom Cos. Sued Over Paging System Patents

Law360 (September 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A patent-holding research and technology company is targeting nearly 20 companies, including Honeywell International Inc.'s subsidiary HomMed LLC, SkyTel Corp. and Brink's Home Security Inc., with a lawsuit for allegedly infringing two patents relating to a two-way communication network.

Eon Corp. IP Holdings LLC filed the suit Monday in the U.S. District for the Eastern District of Texas, asserting two patents for an “Interactive nationwide data service communication system for stationary and mobile battery operated subscriber units.”
