High Court To Review Telecom Antitrust Class Action

Law360 (June 26, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court agreed on Monday to hear an appeal by U.S. telecommunications giants on a motion to dismiss a class action lawsuit against them that alleges antitrust violations.

The companies, Verizon Communications Inc., Bell Atlantic Corp., BellSouth Corp., Qwest Communications International Inc. and SBC Communications Inc., appealed the decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
