NFL Players Throw Suit At League, Union

Law360 (June 28, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Seeking to recover $20 million, a group of current and former National Football League players have sued the league and its union, demanding that the entities be held liable for the losses they suffered at the hands of hedge fund manager Kirk Wright.

On Friday, seven football players filed suit against the NFL and the NFL Players Association in U.S. District Court in Atlanta, accusing the pair of negligence in recommending Wright and his investment vehicle, the now-insolvent International Management Associates.
