Gov't To Intervene In Navy Overbilling FCA Suit

Law360, Washington (November 19, 2015, 1:38 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Justice announced its intervention Wednesday into three whistleblowers' D.C. federal court False Claims Act lawsuit accusing a marine support and logistics services provider of overcharging the U.S. Navy under hundreds of millions of dollars worth of port services contracts.

First filed in 2010 and unsealed with the rest of the case Wednesday, the whistleblowers' suit accuses Inchcape Shipping Services Holdings Limited and some subsidiaries of deliberate and concerted efforts to inflate the amount of work performed in the servicing of Navy ships...
