Judge Orders Settlement Talks In Zyprexa MDL

Law360, New York (October 22, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A group of state attorneys general yet to settle with Eli Lilly & Co. over its allegedly fraudulent marketing of Zyprexa has been urged by a judge to sit down at the negotiating table.

Two weeks after Lilly announced a $62 million deal with 32 states and the District of Columbia, Judge Jack Weinstein of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York has urged 11 hold-out states to make every effort to reach a global settlement with the pharmaceutical giant.
