Yoga Guru Threatened To Kill Fired Legal Head, Jury Told

By Bonnie Eslinger (January 5, 2016, 11:41 PM EST) -- Yoga guru Bikram Choudhury threatened to have his former legal adviser killed after she made complaints about his sexually harassing behaviors, a California jury heard during opening statements Tuesday in the attorney's wrongful termination suit against Choudhury and his yoga school.

Plaintiff Minakshi Jafa-Bodden received her law degree in England and had practiced in Europe and India before being recommended by a friend of Choudhury to come to Los Angeles and advise the yoga mogul on legal matters, her lawyer Mark Quigley of Greene Broillet & Wheeler LLP told jurors on Tuesday during his opening statement.
