Va. Judge Recuses Himself From 'Contentious' Mold Suit

By Patrick Boyle (January 22, 2016, 4:54 PM EST) -- A Virginia federal judge recused himself on Friday from a "highly contentious" lawsuit over mold contamination in housing for military families, saying both sides have questioned his impartiality and he cannot preside fairly over the trial.

U.S. District Court Judge Robert Doumar cited a litany of heated conflicts among himself and the attorneys, one of whom accused him of declaring that a plaintiff suffered no harm from the mold contamination and another who demanded that he remove himself from case because of his conduct in rejecting a request for a continuance.
