NJ Commission Seeks Land From Busted Developer

Law360, New York (November 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Compounding EnCap Golf Holding LLC's contentious Chapter 11 filing, the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission has sued the bankrupt developer to regain hundreds of acres of land the commission previously transferred for a failed $1 billion development project.

The adversary proceeding, lodged Monday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey, claims EnCap is required to return the four landfill properties without the existing liens and claims on the project site, including $70 million in construction liens.
