Boeing, Airbus Tell 3rd Circ. Only FAA Can Regulate Planes

Law360, Washington (May 25, 2016, 11:18 PM EDT) -- The Boeing Co. and Airbus Americas Inc. on Tuesday urged the full Third Circuit to upend a panel decision reviving a defect suit, arguing that aircraft engine maker Avco Corp. cannot be held to state law product liability claims because the Federal Aviation Administration has sole authority over aircraft design.
