Racketeering Suit Tied To Trump Hotels May Be Fully Unsealed

Law360, New York (May 31, 2016, 6:53 PM EDT) -- New York U.S. District Judge Lorna G. Schofield said Tuesday that she may unseal remaining blacked-out portions of a 2010 racketeering complaint targeting a real estate developer with ties to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's hotels, after the partially redacted document made its way into the public eye.

Her decision came in a 5-year-old case targeting developer Bayrock Group LLC and related defendants but not Trump or his businesses. The case has dragged forward amid a morass of disputes, including over whether it is improperly based on information from a former Bayrock employee.
