NY Cannot Divert Truck Tolls To Maintain Canals, Judge Says

Law360, New York (August 11, 2016, 8:11 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge ruled Wednesday that the state improperly diverted toll revenues collected from commercial trucks to maintain canals upstate, handing truckers a major win in their proposed class action claiming the practice was unconstitutional and violated the Commerce Clause.
