Violence Key To Ballplayer Smuggling Scheme, Feds Say

Law360, New York (November 22, 2016, 5:22 PM EST) -- Federal prosecutors asked a Florida district court Tuesday to allow evidence that purportedly shows two sports agents charged with conspiring to smuggle baseball players from Cuba relied on violence and the involvement of a Mexico-based kidnapping operation.
