NASCAR Discrimination Suit Moving To NC

Law360, New York (November 29, 2016, 6:22 PM EST) -- A lawsuit alleging NASCAR and many of its affiliated racing teams discriminate against African-American drivers and team owners is moving to North Carolina federal court after an agreement between the businessman who filed the suit and NASCAR and its racing teams, according to a stipulation filed Monday.

Georgia-based businessman Terrence Alton Cox III and his company, Diversity Motorsports Inc., agreed to drop the New York lawsuit without prejudice with the understanding that it will be re-filed in the Western District of North Carolina within 60 days, according to the stipulation filed in the Southern District of New York.
