Judge Tosses ERISA Claims Against HSBC

Law360, New York (February 13, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A judge has dismissed the last remaining claims in a class action case brought by employees of a computer consulting company who claimed that HSBC Bank failed to pay them wages and pension plan contributions for two years after it took over the company.

In a decision Wednesday, Judge Laura Taylor Swain of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York dismissed the Employee Retirement Income Security Act claims of the case, brought by Silverline Technologies Ltd. employees. The judge said the plaintiffs...
