Shareholder Can't Sue Texas Ticket Exec In Ill., Judge Says

By Rick Archer (March 14, 2017, 2:25 PM EDT) -- An Illinois federal court Monday dismissed a shareholder suit against an executive in a sports and entertainment ticket sales site for lack of diversity, saying the shareholder had failed to prove the executive was lying about where he lived.

RGT Holdings Inc., a Dallas-based shareholder in Chicago ticketing site Ticket Reserve Inc., had argued Ticket Reserve Chairman and CEO Richard Harmon was an Illinois resident, but U.S. District Judge John J. Tharp Jr. found Harmon had provided adequate proof he had moved to Texas by the time the suit was filed.
